Check Your Battery
Summer’s high temperatures can wreak havoc on your car’s battery and leave it on the fast track to the junkyard. Additionally, vibration can also lead to a weakened battery. While it is next to impossible to protect the vehicle from the heat - although always parking in the shade or a garage is a great place to start - you can make sure that the battery is securely mounted to make sure that it isn’t vibrating more than it should. If your battery is more than three years old,
it’s a good idea to take it to a dealership to have it inspected
so you don’t become stranded.
Be Ready for a Breakdown
No one wants to get stranded in the cold winter months, but the oppressive heat of the summer isn’t much better. Make sure your car is equipped with an emergency kit with practical items in it like jumper cables, a flashlight, water bottles and snacks.
